Every golf course rewards different skills. Some demand bombs off the tee, others punish anyone who can't hit tiny, firm greens. Our Course Fit Adjusted score takes a player's underlying game (driving distance, accuracy, short game, approach play) and measures how well it matches the specific demands of that week's course.
Strokes Gained (SG) is the gold standard stat in pro golf. It measures how many strokes a player gains or loses against the field average in a specific part of the game:
A player with +1.5 SG Total per round is playing about 1.5 shots better than the average tour pro every single round — that adds up fast over 4 rounds.
Course fit tells you if a player's skillset matches the course. Strokes gained tells you if a player is playing well right now. Our Blend Score combines both into one number, and you can adjust the slider to weight it toward fit-heavy, form-heavy, or a balanced 50/50 split — because sometimes a hot player overrides a mediocre fit, and sometimes the course matters more than recent results.
Wind, rain, and temperature can swing scoring averages by several strokes across a tournament. We pull hourly forecasts for every round so you can see which wave of the draw (morning vs. afternoon tee times) is getting the tougher conditions — a huge factor for both betting and DFS lineup construction.
The PGA Tour splits the field into morning and afternoon waves on Thursday and Friday. If wind picks up in the afternoon, players who tee off early get a real scoring advantage. Our Tee Times card lets you cross-reference each player's tee time against the hourly forecast so you can spot who's getting the good half of the draw.
Before a single shot is hit, our model generates a probability for every player in the field across five outcomes: Win, Top 5, Top 10, Top 20, and Make Cut. These percentages are built from the same Course Fit and Strokes Gained data described above, blended into forward-looking odds.
Every player on tour has a signature strength. Our Archetype tool groups the entire field by whichever Strokes Gained category they lean on most this season — Off the Tee, Approach, Around the Green, or Putting — and lets you filter the list by category with one click.
This matters because certain courses reward certain archetypes. A tight, tree-lined course with small greens tends to favor Approach and Around-the-Green players over bombers. Filtering to the archetype that fits the week's course is a fast way to shrink a 150-man field down to a shortlist worth betting.
Everyone weighs golf stats differently. Maybe you think Approach play wins tournaments on tight, technical courses. Maybe you trust a hot putter over everything else. Our Build Your Own Ranking tool lets you set the exact weight — by percentage — for each Strokes Gained category: Off the Tee, Approach, Around the Green, and Putting.
Drag each slider or type an exact number. The four weights have to add up to 100%, and once you hit Apply, the tool instantly re-ranks the top 75 players in that week's actual tournament field using your custom formula — not ours.
You don't need to be a scratch golfer to use this data. A simple approach: look for players with strong Course Fit Adjusted AND positive recent Strokes Gained Total, then check their tee time against the weather. That's a repeatable, data-backed process instead of guessing off name recognition.
